Hello in There

"You know that old trees just grow stronger

And old rivers grow wilder every dayOld people just grow lonesomeWaiting for someone to say"Hello in there, hello"
So if you're walkin' down the street sometimeAnd spot some hollow, ancient eyesPlease don't just pass 'em by and stareAs if you didn't careSay, "Hello in there, hello""

He Ain't Heavy

Hi everyone,
I've loved my ritual of sharing a quote each Thursday with you over the years (a couple decades for some of you).
Now old songs and lyrics are calling me, I hear them echo through the years...when will we ever learn?
So, in 2026 I will be sharing song lyrics as much as quotes.
Stay well and Try to Love One Another right now

He Ain't Heavy He's my Brother
"… The road is long

With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where, who knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

… So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there

… For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

… If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another

… It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share?

… And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

… He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother"
