Power to the People, We need more Janis Joplin

“If I hold back, I’m no good. I’m no good. I’d rather be good sometimes, than holding back all the time.”

Janis Joplin

If you give nothing then whatever you get is worth nothing in return, but that doesn't mean it is free.
Janis is one of my hero's, someone who died because she couldn't live with the compromise that was expected of her. How many of us are dying inside because we don't hear our own song let alone belt it our at the top of our voice?
In our world there are a lot of empty promises, a lot of bullshit disguised as 'the way it is', a lot of meaningless stuff that costs a lot and meaningful stuff that no one wants to spend time and resources to cultivate ...
Power to the People: Let's sing our songs and celebrate our diversity!

“It’s not what isn’t, it’s what you wish was that makes unhappiness.”
Janis Joplin
“I’m just doing what I wanted to and what feels right and not settling for bullshit and it worked. How can they be mad at that?”
Janis Joplin
“It’s hard to be free but when it works, it’s worth it!”
Janis Joplin
“Don’t compromise yourself. You are all you’ve got.”
Janis Joplin

Conscious living action:
There are some great alternatives to the disposable paper and single use plastic products we use daily. I've been working on switching to reusable materials for clean up and storage in my kitchen. A friend, through what I consider one of the best gifts in the world, gifted me some reusable paper towels a couple of years ago and I haven't had paper paper towels in my kitchen since!
Reusable paper towels made from natural fibers that are machine washable and compostable are excellent alternative to single use paper towels. They are super absorbent and leave no residue. I use different ones in my kitchen, bathroom, and for general cleaning. They are great for windows and mirrors, and now that Arthur is starting to eat in the high chair I have even more uses for them!! You can find them lots of places now, many stores with eco living sections carry them. I've been ordering them online at a Quebec company along with other great eco products https://en.Kliin.co

Cheers
