Ooh Child May 28th 2026

 Ooh Child

This song started playing in my head as I was skiing down the third run of our first day at Revelstoke on a leg that I did not want to admit was broken.
Things can get bad and then they can get better, and we can help them get better by the stories we tell ourselves. To me this is the ultimate song to have playing in our head whenever we're in pain or things are not going our way.
Ooh child
Things are gonna get easier
Ooh child
Things'll get brighter

Ooh childThings are gonna get easierOoh childThings'll get brighter
Some day, yeahWe'll put it together and we'll get it undoneSome dayWhen your head is much lighterSome day, yeahWe'll walk in the rays of a beautiful sunSome dayWhen the world is much brighter
Ooh childThings are gonna be easierOoh childThings'll be brighter
Ooh childThings are gonna be easierOoh childThings'll be brighter
Some day, yeahWe'll put it together and we'll get it undoneSome dayWhen your head is much lighter
Some day, yeahWe'll walk in the rays of a beautiful sunSome dayWhen the world is much brighter
Some day, some day, some day, some day yeahWe'll put it together and we'll get it undoneSome dayWhen your head is much lighter
Some day, yeahWe'll walk in the rays of a beautiful sunSome dayWhen the world is much brighter

Ooh childThings are gonna get easierOoh childThings'll get brighter
Ooh childThings are gonna get easierOoh childThings'll get brighter(Right now)Oh yeah(Right now)Oh baby(Right now) and you just wait and see how things are gonna be(Right now) if you just wait and see how things are gonna be(Right now) if you just wait and wait and see

Bittersweet Symphony

 Bittersweet Symphony

"But I'm a million different people from one day to the next"

https://youtu.be/1lyu1KKwC74?si=1yXRIlbUMZ55YwKb

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, that's lifeTryna make ends meet, you're a slave to money then you dieI'll take you down the only road I've ever been downYou know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah
No change, I can changeI can change, I can changeBut I'm here in my moldI am here in my moldBut I'm a million different peopleFrom one day to the nextI can't change my moldNo, no, no, no, no(Have you ever been down?)
Well, I've never prayed but tonight I'm on my knees, yeahI need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeahI let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free nowBut the airwaves are clean and there's nobody singin' to me now
No change, I can changeI can change, I can changeBut I'm here in my moldI am here in my moldAnd I'm a million different peopleFrom one day to the nextI can't change my moldNo, no, no, no, no(Have you ever been down?)I can't change, oh, noI can't change, oh
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, that's lifeTryna make ends meet, tryna find somebody then you dieI'll take you down the only road I've ever been downYou know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet, yeah
You know I can change, I can changeI can change, I can changeBut I'm here in my moldI am here in my moldAnd I'm a million different peopleFrom one day to the nextI can't change my moldNo, no, no, no, no
I can't change my moldNo, no, no, no, no,I can't change my mold, no, no, no, noIt's just sex and violence, melody and silenceIt's just sex and violence, melody and silenceI'll take you down the only road I've ever been downI'll take you down the only road I've ever been downBeen downEver been downEver been downEver been downEver been downHave you ever been down?Have you ever been down?Have you ever been down?

Grace

Taking a moment of peace to reflect on Grace

Grace
She takes the blameShe covers the shameRemoves the stainIt could be her name
GraceIt's the name for a girlIt's also a thought thatChanged the world
And when she walks on the streetYou can hear the stringsGrace finds goodnessIn everything
GraceShe's got the walkNot on a ramp or on chalkShe's got the time to talk
She travels outsideOf karma, karmaShe travels outsideOf karma
When she goes to workYou can hear her stringsGrace finds beautyIn everything
GraceShe carries a world on her hipsNo champagne flute for her lipsNo twirls or skips between her fingertips
She carries a pearlIn perfect conditionWhat once was hurtWhat once was frictionWhat left a markNo longer stings
Because Grace makes beautyOut of ugly things
Grace finds beautyIn everything
Grace finds goodness in everything

Waterfall

It's okay to not do or be everything. And we need to hear this sometimes

Check out this version with Serena Ryder and Melissa Etheridge

Waterfall Lyrics
It's too heavy a loadOh, it's too heavy a loadLet it go before your back gets brokeIt's too heavy a load
Must be hard to stand up straightWith the weight that's on your backMust be hard to hold the ocean in your armsDon't be scared to spill a drop and open upBaby, we can talk if you wanna talk
Don't always got to be strongBaby, let it fall, like a waterfallLove you the most of allWhen you let it fall (let it fall), like a waterfall (like a waterfall)
It's too heavy a loadOh, it's too heavy a loadLet it go before your back gets brokeIt's too heavy a load
Love is not a tender thingPull your strings until you snap

It can overflow the ocean in your heartIf you're drowning and it feels like it's too muchBaby, we can talk, if you wanna talk
Don't always got to be strongBaby, let it fall, like a waterfallLove you the most of allWhen you let it fall (let it fall), like a waterfall (like a waterfall)
You can let it fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall (fall)You can let it fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall, fall (fall)
Let it fallLike a waterfallLet it fallLike a waterfall
