In the midst of our fear and anger,
In the midst of our pain and sorrow,
In the midst of our anxiety and worry,
We can still give a little smile to a stranger or a friend,
It doesn't cost much, just an awareness that we are not islands,
We are connected, though we live in our own minds and bodies,
